Derek Chan

Derek Chan, Chief Executive Officer

As the CEO, Mr. Chan is responsible for the overall management and general direction of the company, reporting to the managing members.  Prior to joining Amici Enterprises, Mr. Chan was the Chief Technology Officer responsible for helping to found, build and staff Oriental DreamWorks, a joint venture between DreamWorks Animation, China Media Capital, Shanghai Media Group, and Shanghai Alliance Investment. He was also the Chief Operating Officer of DreamWorks NOVA, the technology company that is bringing DreamWorks’ image creation capabilities to other enterprises.  He was part of the executive team that led the company through both a seed funding round as well as a subsequent Series A funding.

Don Scott, CFO

Mr. Scott began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1980.  He became Partner in 1991.  His career continued there for nearly 19 years, until he left the company in 1998.  While at Andersen, Mr. Scott worked in a variety of industries, with both domestic and international public and private companies.  He also provided a vast array of tax, business and financial advice to high-net-worth families.

Alex, studied Electrical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. He is currently the Managing Member of GoGeo, LLC a company dedicated to developing alternative energy technologies. GoGeo is currently concentrating on geothermal technology for heating, cooling and electric power generation.

As the CMO, Mr. Pharris is responsible for the strategic development and creative implementation of all marketing programs, reporting to the CEO and Managing Partners. During the past 25 years, Mr. Pharris has created and implemented business development, sales, advertising, sponsorships, and public relations campaigns for some of the world’s most notable B2B and B2C brands and their agencies.
